Mexico’s spirits industry has consolidated its position as one of the most attractive sectors for corporate diversification among celebrities. Figures from entertainment, music, and the digital landscape are transforming their cultural capital and media reach into financial assets through strategic investments in tequila brands. An emblematic case is that of Luis Miguel, who joined as a shareholder of Casa Don Ramón, a tequila house founded in 1996 that utilizes blue agave from Los Altos de Jalisco. The strategy capitalizes on the singer’s international profile to position his premium tequila line, integrating the aesthetics of Mexican craftsmanship into special-edition bottles aimed at global markets. On the other hand, content creators like Luisito Comunica have energized the sector from the digital sphere with ventures such as Gran Malo. This product, launched in 2023, combines blanco tequila with notes of watermelon and chili, achieving rapid market penetration thanks to e-commerce and native social media storytelling. This convergence demonstrates that the current success of Mexican spirits depends not only on the origin of the agave, but on the ability to translate influence into commercial loyalty.
